Directions
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
Remove the ham from the package and place it on a roasting rack inside of a roasting pan to collect the juices.
Add a small amount of water to the bottom of the pan. Tent (loosely cover) the ham with aluminum foil.
Place ham in oven and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 F. Occasionally baste the ham with juices in the bottom of the pan while it cooks.
Remove ham from the oven and allow to cool. Slice it perpendicular to the bone to your selected thickness. The bone may make it a little harder to cut but adds rich flavor. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Finish this ham in your smoker instead! Follow the same instructions and smoke to an internal temperature of 145 F. The ham has already been smoked so it'll have rich, smoky flavor no matter how you prepare it.
